NEWSLETTER | TERM 4 | WEEK 8 | 1 DECEMBER 2021
Year 1 to 3 have enjoyed swimming lessons over the past two weeks. Swimming is an important life skill - and so much fun!
Advent Prayer
Advent helps us to get ready for Christmas. It is a time to make an extra effort to be more loving towards each other and to pray together.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Please help us to prepare our hearts this Advent and see if there are any ways that we could make a change for the better.
Keep us close to You and help us to share Your love with everyone we meet.
Amen
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers
AGM
A very big thank you to those families and staff who attend our AGM on Monday night. This school is important to all of us, and your effort to attend the AGM, made that abundantly clear.
We farewelled two long serving members from our Board and Advisory Council, Mrs Toni Fedele and Mrs Sharon Muir. We thank them for their six years of dedicated service to our school community.
We welcome three new members to our Advisory Council, Rachel Sunderland, Tamara Matthews and Andrea Ludvik and congratulate them on their appointment. The Advisory Council for 2022 is as follows:

Rachel Sunderland – Vice Chair
Ketty Labonne – Treasurer
Tamara Matthews – Secretary

Ufuoma Atakere & Meagan Zanetti – General Member
Ex Officio Members – Ondine Komnick & Father Saminedi
Calendar
As we enter the last week of school our calendar becomes extremely busy. We have our annual Christmas Carols' picnic and concert on Friday night. Please invite your extended family to this wonderful event as we prepare our hearts for Christmas. Gates open at 4.30pm and the concert starts at 6pm.
Next week we have our Year 6 graduation assembly and we look forward to celebrating and f our young people as they close an important chapter on their lives, their primary school years. On Wednesday we will hold our school ‘Move Up’ morning, where children will have an opportunity to gather with peers who have been allocated to the same class and to meet their teacher for 2022. This fun morning is a gentle way to transition children into their new classroom environment.
Staff for 2022
Next week we will publish our staff list for 2022.
Reflection
As you prepare your heart for Christmas, take time to reflect on what things captivate you during the festive season. Is it the Christmas catalogues, Black Friday deals and Pinterest worthy Christmas tables all beautifully decorated? If we are not careful we can become wrapped up in the external trappings of Christmas and forget about what Christmas is really all about - Jesus, the Christ child.
What we behold is what will take hold of us. If we focus our attention on the wrong things, they will determine our life’s direction, however, if we focus our attention on Jesus, our hearts will be transformed.
God bless you all.
