Teacher Evaluation
- School-Wide Student Growth Goal
As shared at the September 17, 2019 principal’s meeting, all teachers will again be required to have a school-wide student growth goal for the purpose of evaluation.
Each school-wide goal is established from uniform standards that the District has applied to determine an evaluative rating. Guidance including site specific data and this year’s rating determination was emailed to each principal earlier in the week. The school-wide rating is to be applied for all teacher’s in the building for the 2019-2020 evaluation and weighted as half of domain V with the other half based on a personal goal(s).

A Sample Reading and Math goal is also included
The Phase I template is included (due Oct. 31)
please schedule a meeting with me either after school or during your prep between now and Oct. 31. All meetings except for non tenured teachers will be 20 minutes. Non tenured teachers need to be prepared with their IDP goals when they meet with me and please plan on a 30 minute meeting time.
The process will be presented at the Oct. 22 staff meeting but if you have questions before then please do not hesitate to ask or you can get clarification during our pre meet time that you schedule.
Updates Superintendent's Bulletin
- Half-Day Work Schedules for Paraprofessionals
Paraprofessionals work only during scheduled student days and times unless otherwise authorized by Human Resources. On student half days, principals should afford afternoon paraprofessionals the opportunity to shift to morning hours as much as applicable. This type of paraprofessional schedule modification for half-day(s) is to be recorded through Kronos punch IN/OUT with building level citation: temporary outside schedule for half-day. An exemption form is not necessary for this circumstance. Questions may be directed to Barb Justin at barbara.justin@uticak12.org in Human Resources. To date, 2019-2020 half days are as follows:
Elementary: 09-03-2019, 10-31-2019, 11-14-2019, 01-16-2020, 01-17-2020
Note: Second semester half days have yet to be determined. Similar flexibility for paraprofessional schedules may also be applicable during secondary assessment days anticipated in April
