Our Mission:
Please remember that every student should have at least 1-2 extra masks in their backpacks each day. Children need to wear a mask to school EVERY day! Thank you for signing and dating your students' certification cards each day.
Next, I am happy to share a Halloween update. Lincoln PTA will be sponsoring our Lincoln tradition of The Pumpkin Patch this year. Families can decorate a pumpkin and drop if off to a PTA parent stationed at door 1 on Wednesday 10/27 and Thursday 10/28 between 8:00 am and 8:30 am. PTA will share more details soon. Pumpkins will be sent home with students end of day on Friday, 10/29, or can be picked up outside door 1 after school on 10/29.
There will also be a Halloween Theme Week in all CCSD15 schools Monday 10/25 - Friday, October 29. Details will be shared with all schools soon.
On Friday, October 29, students can wear their Halloween costumes to school. We encourage simple costumes that can be worn over clothes and removed easily and independently if needed. If students choose to bring their costumes to school, they need to be able to independently put it on in the classroom. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no changing in bathrooms this year. Masks that cover the face are not allowed. (However, students are expected to wear a face covering mask to school each day.) No violent costumes/fake weapons, or costumes with fake blood are allowed. Costume make-up is allowed as long as it does not cover the student's entire face. Staff members must be able to identify students. There will be a morning Halloween parade for AM Kindy and grades 1-6 at 10:00 am. Classrooms will exit doors 2 and 3, parade down one side of Ridgewood and cross the street, and then enter back into the building through doors, 4, 5 and 6 depending on proximity to classrooms. PM Kindy will have an afternoon parade at 1:30 pm outside. If the weather does not cooperate, the parades will be canceled.
PTA Room Parents will provide an activity for each classroom to do on Friday. There will be no volunteers or visitors in classrooms again this year on Halloween. Remember that there is no food at CCSD15 Halloween parties. Please don't hesitate to call Mrs. Knoeppel or Ms. Pape if you have any questions. 847.963.5700
Picture Day Retakes
Dear Lincoln Families & Staff,
By now you should have received your (your child’s) school portrait proof sheet (if you didn’t purchase prior to picture day) or the package. If you’re not satisfied with the portrait, you can have another shot on the Picture Retake Day on Wednesday, October 13. Please bring back the proof/package so the photographer can enter this into their system with new shot to ensure the correct order.
If the child was absent on Picture Day (8/24), he/she can get the photo taken in the Retake day as well.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the purchase package other than about the retakes, please contact the vendor directly at

Update from Nutrition Services
Due to supply chain issues, we are unable to serve peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at our schools. We hope to have them back in stock soon, but in the meantime, we will be serving Protein Power Packs so students will have a vegetarian option.
We know many families print off their menus for the month. Please note that if we have to change an offering due to the shortage, we will update menus online each Friday so families will know if there are any changes for the following week. Please check regularly if your child has a favorite that may be in short supply
