News From Paris Elementary School
November 2021
Being Prepared for Remote Instruction
Keeping the school open is dependent on in-school transmission rate not exceeding local community transmission rate, as well as staffing capacity to be able to provide adequate supervision and instruction.
Please have your child bring their chromebook to school each day so they can utilize it for classroom instruction while at school. Thank you for your help with this.
If you child needs winter clothing, please contact the school for assistance.
Bus Schedule Changes
As you are aware, the district is facing an unprecedented bus driver shortage. In an effort to get all students to school across the district, the transportation department has made some changes to bus routes. We do not know at this time whether or not this will impact the start and end time for Paris Elementary School, but will monitor the changes this coming week to see if any shifts need to be made.
We anticipate having the same arrival and dismissal schedule next week. If buses are arriving later than expected, we may need to shift our start and end time by up to 15 minutes on either end of the day. We are hopeful these changes will result in more consistent transportation for all students in the district.

Visitors to the Building
Due to the current MSAD 17 Reopening Plans, we will not be able to allow visitors into our school at this time. This includes the parents and guardians of our students. In an effort to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for all, only staff and students will be allowed to enter the school building.
Please know that this is a safety precaution and we will miss seeing our parents, volunteers, and guests inside the building this year. We hope we can invite you back into the building soon!
