Xicotepec
It is one of the 217 municipalities in the state of Puebla. It is located within the Sierra Norte of Puebla and belongs to the first region of the state. Its head is the city of Xicotepec de Juàrez, which is recognized by the Secretary of Tourism of México as a Pueblo Magico (Magic Town).

Parroquia de San Juan Bautista
Previously known as Calvary Parish, the Parish of San Juan Bautista was founded in 1571 by the Augustinian monks; houses catacombs of hundreds of inhabitants who lived between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
Parish has a Gothic style resembles that of the famous Parisian cathedral of Notre Dame. The building dominates the landscape with its impressive towers. It is dedicated to the patron of the city "San Juan Bautista", to which it is celebrated every June 24; day which is visited by many devout people.
