NEW INFORMATION

Lunch at CDW

Students should either bring their lunch from home each day, or parents may order through one of the approved vendors for delivery to CDW. If you order lunch from an approved vendor for delivery, please make sure the vendor knows your child's first and last name and grade level. This will help to ensure your child receives their lunch on time. At times, we understand that a parent/guardian may need to drop off lunch at school. All lunches need to be placed on the table with the green tablecloth in the vestibule (see picture below).

5th/6th Grade Lunch ~ 11:27AM-12:01 PM

Choir Rehearsals

The first CDW Choir rehearsal will be on Tuesday, September 13th from 3:00-4:00 PM in Room 402 under the direction of Ms. Osbahr. All students in Grades 5-8 are welcome to join!

Morning Drop-Off and Afternoon Pick-Up Reminders

  • Once you pull up to the cones on Interschool Drive, please have your child(ren) exit the vehicle. This allows many students to be dropped off at the same time and allows the line to move quickly.
  • Please do not park in any staff parking spots when dropping off or picking up students.
  • Please do not block any parking spots along the front side of the building at Pick-Up.
  • Please do not exit your vehicle and leave your vehicle unattended on Interschool Drive.
  • Please do not drive through/across the traffic cones on Interschool Drive. Cutting through cones could cause additional traffic or unsafe driving conditions.
  • Speak to your child(ren) and create a dismissal plan. This will ensure the safety and quickest exit from school property.
  • Please feel free to use both lanes on Interschool Drive for Pick-Up. A staff member will be available to cross your child(ren).

Visitor Parking

If you need to visit the school, please only park in a spot labeled "Visitor." All numbered spots are assigned to staff members.

Back-to-School Night: Thursday, September 15, 2022

The night will begin at 7:00 PM with your child's Period 1 teacher and will end at 8:35 PM with your child's Period 8 teacher.

Some important information:

  • Your child(ren) will bring home a schedule for you to follow throughout the night.
  • Since Language Arts (and possibly math) is a double period, you will visit the Lynch Gym during the second session to enjoy refreshments and check out this year's CDW Spirit Wear.
  • The Cycle/PE/CE teachers will be stationed in the Rossi Gym.
  • Just a reminder, please do not park in the staff parking spots (designated by a number).
  • Back-to-School Night is for parent(s)/guardian(s) only. Students should not attend.

Please enjoy this video explaining the Back-to-School Night Schedule in further detail.

Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s):

In order to participate in any of our middle school sports programs, your child(ren) must have his/her most recent medical records on file. Please speak with your child(ren) to see what sport(s) he/she is interested in and make sure to submit all medical documents by the dates below. Join the PTO!

The PTO is looking for volunteers for the upcoming school year!

Volunteers play a huge part in the PTO and what we are able to offer our students and teachers. Without volunteers, many of the programs that students, teachers, and families enjoy will not be able to happen. Volunteer descriptions can be found at: OTPTO.org under "More Info" and then "Flyers."

If you have interest in joining the PTO Board, joining or running a committee, or just want to learn more- please reach out to the PTO by visiting OTPTO.org and selecting "Contact Old Tappan PTO" under the Help tab.
