Thank you PTSA for the Apple Bar!
We would like to thank our PTSA and the talented Rebekah Arrington for treating the LSA staff to a scrumptious apple bar. The thoughtful curation of apple varieties and an array of delectable toppings created a sweet symphony that not only satisfied our taste buds but also warmed our hearts. PTSA's dedication to fostering a positive staff experience turned an ordinary day into an extraordinary one. As we savored every bite of this delightful gesture, we want to express our deep appreciation for the PTSA and Rebekah Arrington for adding a touch of sweetness to our LSA family. Your thoughtful efforts are truly the secret ingredients that make our school community so special.

An Emergency Call for Holiday Assistance . . .
Will We Answer?
We have been presented with an opportunity to make a significant impact this holiday season. The Wake County Eastern Regional Center, facing a shortfall of 550 toys after a prime donor withdrawal, has reached out to us for assistance. Our school has been acknowledged for its commitment to caring for and engaging with or local community as volunteers, and now, this is a chance for us to demonstrate that caring spirit once again.
We're initiating a toy drive to help bridge the gap and bring joy to those in need. Each family's contribution can make a meaningful difference. Can we come together and commit to the goal of every family donating just one toy? It's a small effort that collectively can make a tremendous impact on the lives of others during this festive season. Let's embody the spirit of giving that defines our community and show the world the strength of our collective compassion.
Thank you for considering this call to action, and let's make this holiday season a special one for children in our extended community. Thank you in advance for your generosity and for being a part of a community that cares.
We will have a box at school.
OUT AND ABOUT!
Please complete this form if you would like Mrs. Williams to visit you!

A Note on Attendance
School attendance will always be of significant priority here at Longleaf School of the Arts. Not only is school attendance mandated by law, but we pride ourselves on being able to help our students prepare for college and the outside world through our 16-day force failure policy, which states that "in order for a student to receive credit for a class at Longleaf School of the Arts, the student must not be marked absent for more than sixteen (16) days per year." Please be aware that the school will send home letters for all documented absences, whether excused or otherwise noted. While we understand that circumstances beyond our control occur, we ask that you provide documentation to support any absences your student may have throughout the school year. All absences can be reported on the school website through the following link: REPORT AN ABSENCE. If you have any questions about attendance or the forced failure policy, please contact Mrs. Victoria Jones, LSA's school social worker.
