Teacher/Educator of the Year
Please consider nominating a member of our Oakley Park teaching staff! You are not limited to nominating your child's' current teacher. A nomination is a great way to acknowledge any teacher/educator who has made a difference in your child school life!
Nomination forms were sent home with all students on Friday, October 5th. You can also access the form by clicking on the link below. Please submit nominations NO LATER THAN MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2018. Please send or deliver Nomination forms to the main office in an envelope marked clearly with “TEACHER/EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR”.
The Power of Kindness
- (Be) Yourself
Giving to others makes us happier and healthier. The positive response in our brain ( "helper's high") benefits both our physical and mental health. Sharing the joy of giving with our children by making them a part of the experience gives them a unique feeling of connection and purpose. It important we show our children the giving isn't just in terms of giving something tangible like a gift to someone; giving of our time, talent and expertise is equally impactful. Giving something as simple as a smile can change someones day!
We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we give.
