Christmas Concert
Nothing makes my heart happier than seeing my sweet students sing their little hearts out on a stage, and last night was no exception. They made me sooooo proud. Thank you to those of you who were able to carve time out of your very busy schedules to allow your child to participate in this holiday performance. They did a wonderful job. Be sure to check out some of the darling photos below.
Amazing Amaryllis
Wow! Did we ever get our eyes opened! Never had we experienced such a fast-growing plant. As you might recall, we'd been graphing the growth of our Amaryllis plant. On the day it blossomed into a beautiful cream-colored beauty, it was 51 cm tall...all this after just over two weeks of growing. Be sure to check out some of the group pics below.
Share Topic
Unfortunately, I had to log (6) zeroes in the grade book for this week's share topic for the students that did not prepare for this assignment. It was impossible for them to tell a photo story for a photo that was not brought to school. Remember, there are ten Indiana academic speaking and listening language arts learning standards for which students are held accountable. Please post the monthly share topics in a place that your child can be reminded of this responsibility and see that (s)he follows through. It is a very easy way to boost the language arts grade...but only if (s)he does it.
Week of January 6th Share Topic
Winter is “Snow” Much Fun! Create a snowy story. You may tell it, write about it in story form, use a puppet, etc. Just be creative!
Enjoy your child over the holiday break, and--as always--
thank you for sharing him or her her with me.
