Science Festival
On Friday January 25, the Estes Park Science Festival was held at the Estes Park Events Center.
All students in grades 6-8 worked very hard to create their science fair projects with different categories they could choose from.
Our judges then volunteered a lot of their time to select which projects they thought were the best. Sixth grade judges were Bev and Wen Bachman, Bill and Becky Urquhart, and Jim Thompson.
Seventh grade judges were Mike Connolly, Dr. Robert Johnson, and Ernie Petrocine. Eighth grade judges were Talia Faber, Jim Webb, and Mark Richards.
The judges faced very tough decisions in deciding on three winners from each grade level as well as multiple honorable mentions. This year's winners are listed below.

THANK YOU TO OUR SCIENCE FESTIVAL SPONSORS!
By Sam Honda, Sam Workman & Meah Weaver (8th Graders from EPMS)
On the 25th of January of this year the EPMS Science Department hosted the 11th Annual Science Festival. This event serves two purposes. One is to showcase the work and talents of our middle school students. The other is to serve as a fundraiser for the Science Department. We greatly appreciate all of our sponsors that participated and donated this year! All of the profits earned go directly back towards the Estes Park Science Department budget so our students can have more hands-on learning by being able to purchase necessary supplies and equipment.
Without the donations and assistance from our sponsors, we never could have broken the $2,000 barrier for our Silent Auction, which we did for the first time!
A final total of $2,135 was brought in this year. Once again, we thank all of our sponsors for their participation, which helped make our Science Festival a monumental success! Below are some of the sponsors who so generously gave their time and resources.
