GETTING TO KNOW OUR AMAZING STAFF
Mr. Miguel- Day Custodian
Hello, My name is Miguel Sainz, or Mr.Miguel to the students. I am the lead custodian here at Reynolds. I have been working in the district for 9 years and have been at Reynolds for 7 of those years. I have been living in Oceanside all of my life. On my free time I enjoy collecting vintage video games and action figures. My main goal as lead custodian is to keep a clean environment for the students and staff. Ensuring that all teachers/staff have what is needed.
Mrs. Akao- Assistant Principal
Hello, my name is Berlinda Akao, and this is my first year of being an assistant principal at Reynolds Elementary. Before becoming an assistant principal, I spent 20 years in the classroom at Oceanside Unified teaching various grade levels: kindergarten, first, fifth, and sixth through eighth grade. Thereafter, I spent four years as a Teacher on Special Assignment.
I’m a California native and I was born at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital and raised in a bilingual household. I attended Mission Elementary, Jefferson Middle School, and Oceanside High School. After high school, I attended Cal State San Marcos, receiving a Master in Education with a Reading Specialists Credential and a Master of Administration.
My passion is the love of learning, teaching, reading, coaching, and building peer relationships. My favorite pass time is cooking, eating, and gardening.
One fun fact about me is that I spend my spare time skydiving.
Mrs. Gonzalez-- Principal
Away from campus I enjoy socializing with family and friends. I appreciate being able to travel and explore our beautiful country and world.
