Photos for Class
Photos for Class takes the pain out of properly attributing photos. This is a Creative Commons licensed, G-rated, perfect-for-school, searchable collection of photos. The citation is automatically added to photos in a band at the bottom, as shown above.
Free Templates for Google Slides Presentations
If you've tried out Google Slides (Google's presentation app), you may have noticed a lack of beautiful templates. Take a look at Slides Carnival, a free website that offers a variety of Slides templates. Simply open your Google Drive, then go to Slides Carnival to choose the template you want to use, click to open, then make a copy that will automatically save in your Drive. Here's one of my favorites!
Robot Lending Library
Do you wish you had access to more robots to increase student interest and engagement in computer programming? Here is your opportunity! The Institute for Computing Education (ICE) at Georgia Tech has a lending library for schools. There are several different models of robots including LEGO, Sphero, PicoCricket, and more. Schools are allowed to check out the equipment for 3 weeks and must leave a deposit to ensure the equipment's safe return. (Thanks to Mo Paluzzi for sharing this information!)
