CBA Elementary Weekly Newsletter
December 17, 2021
Good Afternoon CBA Community,
We hope everyone is well and preparing for a much anticipated winter break, a chance for us all to rest, refresh and spend time with family and friends.
We wanted to send a quick update on our COVID procedures. As you may know, Pennsylvania has lifted the mask mandate for schools. Schools now have the option of deciding their own masking polices.
What will we do at CBA?
For now, we won’t be changing any of our polices, as it relates to masking. We will do a full evaluation of our health and safety procedures when we return. On January 17th we will send any updates to our community. Our decision to wait until two weeks post winter break is supported by the Chester County Health Department on our bi-weekly call.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we continue to navigate this pandemic and do our best to keep children in school, doing things the CBA way! We understand that this is a polarizing topic for some and everyone has a different opinion. We have reviewed many health and safety plans from various schools and districts and each one is different.
As we head into Winter Break, we encourage our school community to make safe and healthy decisions. Keep an eye out for symptoms associated with COVID-19 and please notify us as soon as possible should anything come up.
When school resumes, we plan to continue to hold events, go on field trips and put on fun-filled concerts! We are looking forward to these opportunities and hope that you are as well!
Thank you for your partnership!

Jamie Hess - West Chester Country Club Wellness Event
Jamie Hess is a local Chesterbrook mom (Mason, Grade 1) who is on a mission to help fellow moms in her community. She asked if we could share this message with the student body to let you know about a special event she has upcoming, in case you might find it helpful.
Professionally, Jamie is a TV personality, podcaster, and influential voice in wellness through her Instagram account, @NYCfitfam. Through her coaching program, The Big Ask, she teaches women across the country to drop food shame, get healthy, and move forward.
Throughout the pandemic, she’s been helping women across the country overcome quarantine + stress-fueled weight gain. 42% of Americans say they gained weight during the pandemic, and she’s been hard at work helping people pick up the pieces and recover their confidence + health with an actionable plan.
When she moved from NYC to West Chester in 2020, she fell in love with this community, and felt a strong urge to be of-service to her neighbors, who she knew must be feeling the same pressures.
For the past year, she’s been hosting free wellness-centric events and on January 18th, she is holding her most exciting one of all: a free one-day workshop at the West Chester Country Club to help YOU get a handle on your weight loss & wellness goals for 2022.
