Making Good Decisions
The theme of October is "Making Good Decisions", which is an important skill that applies to all aspects in life. Every choice we make, whether good or bad, is a decision that we have made. "Good" decisions are ones that show respect towards other people and align with your personal values. At Las Flores, we can also remember to be a H.E.R.O. (Be Honest, Engaged, Respectful, and Take Ownership)
Steps in the Decision Making Process:
- Identify a decision that needs to be made
- Brainstorm possible options
- Identify possible outcomes for the options
- Making a decision
- Reflect on the decision
National Bullying Prevention Month & Red Ribbon Week (October 24-28)
October is National Bullying Prevention month. Bullying can come in many forms, and it is important that as a community, we at Las Flores take a stand against bullying. As a school community, we can remember to be kind and respectful to everyone. It is important to let an adult know if you are being bullied or if you know that someone else is being bullied- take a stand for what is right!
