Peek at the Week

Our class decided that our Marathon goal should be 100% participation and we are almost there! We are at 98%!!!! Please help us reach our goal!

This week will go by quickly! Monday and Tuesday we will take a benchmark reading assessment, continue learning about the Vikings, read Norse myths, and work on our fantasy stories. Wednesday will be a fantastic day with many fun Marathon Day activities!

We had a very busy week! The Afternoon on the Amazon Book Club was a lot of fun! Students had very insightful ideas, thought critically, and did great work on their questions. The next Book Club will be Viking Ships at Sunrise - A to Z Mysteries on Thursday, October 29th.

Last week we were so lucky to have Lukas Czech visit our classroom and show us some of his x-rays. The children asked many good questions and Lukas was so gracious to share his story with the class. Check out the pictures below.

We also had Krista from Warner Nature Center visit us and teach us about watersheds and how beneficial wetlands are for our envirnoment. We will be heading to WNC in a couple weeks to learn more! See the pics below.
