Rime of the Ancient Mariner Part 7
The hermit lives by the sea all by himself. He likes to hand out with the sailors that come by from long trips. Hes also very religious. He hears voices from a rescue ship and hears the pilot (maybe) ask what the red lights are. Hermit agrees that the lights are weird. Notices how things look dry and tattered like leaves.
A ship is sinking fast, kinda like the albatross, and its making a loud rumbling noise that echos across the bay. The mariner ends up floating in the water basically comatose. The pilot picks him up and the boat spins because of the whirlpool the sinking ship caused. Both the pilot and the hermit think hes dead. When the mariner talks the pilot faints and the hermit begins to pray. So the Mariner begins to row the boat toward the shore.
They begin to talk and suddenly the mariner feels pain. He then commences to tell his story and the pain begins to fade. He says he looks around for people who need to hear his story.
The mariner finishes telling his stor and realizes that the wedding sounds like a nice party but says its better to go to church that to a wedding party. He ends with a little message, you have to love big and small things... The mariner walks away. The wedding guest decides he doesn't want to go to the wedding and leaves, he wakes up the next day as a sadder and wiser man.
