Presidents' Update
Dear McKinley Families,
During this time of uncertainty, we do know one thing is certain, all of the McKinley teachers are AMAZING! We are so grateful for the teachers that have taken their originally scheduled lessons and changed them to virtual learning so our children don't miss a beat. The anxiety and fear has been greatly reduced when daily lessons and resources are emailed daily. Thank you!
Some exciting news! #CommunityLoveKids will be a new at home art series led by our very own Jenny Leigh! We cannot think of a better way than creative fun and imagination to help our kids & families through these unchartered times. An email is forthcoming with additional details, stay tuned! Thank you to Double Boldt Real Estate in collaboration with the PTO for your passion and care for our McKinley community.

Adult Social and Auction Update
Surely everyone is wondering amidst this pandemic and our current “Safer at Home” order issued by Governor Evers what is happening with the 2020 McKinley PTO Adult Social and Auction besides the obvious that our original date of May 2nd has been postponed!
The planning committee has been looking into every viable option to make the event what it is intended to be; an evening of great fun with the McKinley community as together, we continue "investing in OUR future". We’ve been hugely blessed with some awesome auction items already, have many generous sponsors this year and are really in a great position financially, so the pressure to make a quick decision is off and we can afford to be thoughtful in our planning! Stay tuned for more news over next couple of weeks!
If you have any questions, please reach out to Bill Koch.
Pop - Up Food Pantry
McKinley Food Pantry Update!
Please keep donating. McKinley keeps getting feedback from members of our community that the food pantry is greatly appreciated and utilized locally. When you pass Sendik’s please pick up a couple of extra items to add to the box on the corner of 90th and Meinecke.
Tosa Community Food Pantry at Mt. Zion church will accept food donations on Saturdays from 10-11. If our volunteers could check the box on Fridays. If there are more than about three bags of food in the box please bring donations to the Tosa community food pantry or any food pantry.
Thank you volunteers! (Updated dates)

Dine Out Update
In these unprecedented times there are so many things that are fluid. The Dine Out date with Colectivo that was scheduled for April 8th will be postponed with the date to be determined. We are hoping at this point to have a Dine Out fundraiser with Chipotle on Mayfair and Center the evening of May 27th from 4-8 pm. If things have normalized at that point it will be a great time to gather with friends and classmates and to support our school. We will keep you posted. All the best and take care, Dana Wurzburger
