You are invited to attend our 2020 PUE Panther Parent Night “Wild About Learning.”
The staff at Pleasant Union will host a very special Curriculum Night on Monday, February 17 from 4:00-6:00. There will be a variety of sessions for parents to sign up for so that you can learn more about how we facilitate learning for our students. We will also have activities for our students while you are attending sessions.

School is closed on Monday, January 20 in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. We will be open on Tuesday.

HAPPY SUNDAY PANTHER FAMILIES!
The deadline for ordering your PUE yearbook for the 2019-2020 school year is Friday, January 31st. Go to ybpay.lifetouch.com and enter "4262720" and order your yearbook before it is too late!
Our annual Valentine's Dance is coming up on Thursday, February 13th! We will have DJ Butta and dancing in the gym from 6:15 to 8:30. The kids LOVE dressing up and dancing with their teachers and principals so make sure you plan to attend this free event! Pizza will be served in the cafeteria from 5:45 - 6:15. Pizza must be pre-purchased using the following link: http://bit.ly/ValentinesPizza20. Waters and soda will be available for sale. We will also have a cake walk in the cafeteria during the Valentine's Dance from 6:00 to 8:30 where we will be auctioning cakes and other edible items. The cake walk is the PUE version of Musical Chairs with your chance to win a YUMMY item to take home. Look out for a sign up genius to donate your cake or other baked/ store bought item. Cake walk tickets will be $5 and will be sold at the event.
Donut Sale for Odyssey of the Mind. The PUE Odyssey of the Mind Team is selling donuts to raise money to purchase supplies to build their project for their competition. The cost is $8 a dozen or for a voucher/certificate. Donuts may be pre-purchased by Wednesday, January 29th at 10pm: http://bit.ly/Donuts4PUEOdyssey. Donuts will be available for pickup on Friday, January 31st, starting at 7:45am. Additional donuts/ vouchers will be available for sale on Friday, January 31st, while supplies last.

Yearbook Orders
It's that time of year again! Yearbook orders are being accepted through January 31, 2020. The prices are $25.00 for paper cover or $30.00 for hard cover. Order online at ybpay.lifetouch.com.
Krispy Kreme Donut Sale
The Track 1, 5th grade Odyssey of the Mind team will have a Krispy Kreme donut sale fundraiser on Friday morning, January 31 from 7:30 to 8:45 in the lobby, and then in carpool until we run out. We are selling glazed donuts by the dozen or vouchers for a future dozen for $8 each. You may pay with cash or check payable to the PUE PTA. There will also be an online link through the PTA website for payment by credit card through Wednesday evening, January 29.
Global Service Project
We are continuing to serve our community as global givers this year. Ms. Freer is going to be a part of a team that travels to Belize to help a school. Last year, our school assisted in sending essential supplies to these students and families. This year, we are asking for your help once again. We will collect donations through January 24. We are asking for the following supplies:Kindergarten: Simple toys and prizes, stickers, pretty pencils, hair clips
First Grade: pencils or crayons
Second grade: Construction paper or clear packing tape
Third grade: Chalkboard chalk or red, blue or black pens
Fourth grade: rulers, scissors or white glue
Fifth grade:
Any of these books: (they need multiple copies, so duplicates are fine)
