Lane Elementary 2020-21 Open House

"Growing LEADERS at Lane"

Good Afternoon,

Welcome to McKibben Lane’s Virtual Open House. We are so excited to begin another year of teaching and learning with our Lane Leaders. Please view our Open House presentation and become better acquainted with the great staff of McKibben Lane. We want you to know that we are committed to the work that is before us. Although this year is unlike any school year that we have ever encountered, we can do it! We made a vow to be flexible, open and receptive to new learning and new ideas. The pandemic cannot change our love for children, teaching and learning. We love and miss our Lane Leaders and we are looking forward to seeing them soon.

After viewing Lane’s Open House video and grade level PowerPoint presentations, please take a few minutes to become familiar with Canvas- our new learning management system, Remind- our new communication platform and our Student Handbook. Expectations for our students are included in the Student Code of Conduct. Once you have read the Student Code of Conduct, please complete the acknowledge of receipt. We are looking forward to planting seeds of knowledge as we begin “Growing Leaders at Lane.”

Thank you,

Georglyn S. Stephens

The Bibb County School Districts PBIS department will be launching the "Be a S.T.A.R." campaign to re-enforce the District's focus on safety during the re-opening of schools. The "Be a S.T.A.R." campaign encourages and teaches students, staff, parents and community stakeholders the Districts safety expectations to:

Social distancing

Temperature check

Always mask up

Rinse and Wash your hands for 20 seconds

We encourage our students, staff and community partners to be a STAR when you enter any Bibb County School or District Office. We thank you for your partnership in helping us to keep our students and staff safe. #BibbBeASTAR
