This was a great opportunity for our students to hear from a variety of people from our community, and learn more about what it takes to be eligible for those jobs. Ask your student who was their favorite presenter, it might be their future job!
  • 8th Grade Parents: Promotion party permission slips were due today! It is important for the party committee gets an accurate count of attendees, so they can make sure that they have enough food and prizes. Here is the Promotion Letter and the Promotion Party Permission Slip. If your student has not turned in their permission slip, please turn it in first thing Monday morning!
  • Our 29th Annual Decathlon was held this week. See below for more information.

  • Friday, 5/27, is a minimum day. We also will be hosting the staff vs. students softball game!
  • Remember that 5/30 is Memorial Day, and there is no school.
  • June 1st is Awards Night for both 7th & 8th grade students. If your student is receiving an award, please watch the mail for a letter inviting you to attend. 6:30 PM, June 1st, in the amphitheater. We also have Art Night on the 1st. See below for more info!
  • As we get closer to the last day of school, please remind your students about making good choices and being respectful of each other! We want to end the year on a positive! Thanks for your help!

May Parent Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to our May Parent Volunteer of the month: Mr. Metoyer!

Here is what Athletic Director Pat Connolly had to say: Since early March, Mr. Metoyer has dedicated his afternoons coaching our Santiago Cross Country program. He brings it every day with positive energy and does a wonderful job teaching the basics and fundamentals of Cross Country to our beginning runners! Coach Metoyer helped make the first ever Cross-Country meet and team a reality.

On Monday, May 2, 2022, ALL Santanas began taking the SBAC exams. Due to COVID, students have not had to take these assessments for a couple of years, so it will be an adjustment for us all. Students will be testing within their academic classes, so there will be no schedule modifications to the school day. Please review the details below, and let us know if you have any questions!

  • Week of May 23-27: Make-Up Testing

All students should remember how important it is to eat a healthy breakfast each day! This gives you the proper energy you need to stay focused and feel successful.

Please remember to bring your charger for your school device so that your battery does not die during the day.

Please remember to bring headphones that PLUG-IN to your device. Wireless headphones won't properly work during SBAC testing.

We thank you for your efforts with supporting your student and our campus by helping to reinforce this information with your Santana.

Thank you!
