Proportions Project
To connect this particular project with our other content areas, students will each be assigned an element from the periodic table. They will pretend this element gave them superpowers and will design a costume and superhero profile to represent their action figures.
Language Workshop
Largely through language workshop, students will continue to learn about significant historic events that occurred during the 1900s in the United States.
Next week we will begin discussing women's suffrage by evaluating various articles and readings. In this study discussion students will work to compare women's rights across time periods in our nation. In addition, they will gain an understanding of how women's rights are still limited in various countries throughout the world.
In particular we will focus on 6 topics to develop this understanding. They are:
- Rosie the Riveter
- Wonder Woman
- Malala
- Suffrage Movement of the 1900s
