The Meadowlark Food Drive came to an end on Friday, November 20th. Kindergarten, 2nd Grade and 5th Grade students brought in the most food items and earned themselves a Donut Party!

The food will be taken to the Andover Community Food Bank on Andover Road located at the United Methodist Church to help replenish their shelves.

Thank you to all the families who donated. The Andover Community Bank appreciates you!

Several Meadowlark Elementary fifth grade students competed in the Nationwide Fall America Answers Contest on Friday, November 6th. The contest is a self-scoring, computer contest of 100 multiple-choice questions to be answered by the group. Areas covered included math, geography, government, sports, spelling, science, literature, English, history, general information and just plain fun trivia. Several students selected the team’s answers on the computer, while the others read through the questions and answers as quickly as possible. Each question offered two chances to answer correctly. Points were awarded based on how fast the question was answered by the group, as well as how accurate. No adult assistance was given! The six fifth grade students scored a total of 938 points with 82% accuracy. They earned 4th place in Andover and 20th place in the Nationwide competition again 48 other 5th grade teams. The 2020 Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl team members included: Chase C., Charlie F., Sadie D.S., Beckett W., Liam W., and Caleb N.

Congratulations to the team for all their hard work!!!

Checking students out

Office staff will conduct all signing in and out of students. Parents may call to check-out students and then the student is sent out to the parent with visual identification. For in-person checking out, once a student is checked out, the parent will go back to their vehicle and the student will be sent out by the office. School Phone Number: 316-218-4630

Checking students in

Staff members will check students in to create a touchless system. Students need to have temperature checked before proceeding to class if they are arriving for the first time that day.
