Selective Mutism
3-Part Lunchtime Webinar
February 25, March 10 and March 24, 2020: 11:30am-12:45pm
All Special Education Staff are Welcome
Selective mutism is an anxiety-based disorder that requires collaboration among the SLP, behavioral health professionals (school or clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, or school social worker), teachers and the child's family in order for appropriate assessment, treatment planning and reduction of anxiety in students to occur.
This 3-part webinar series will provide foundational content for multidisciplinary school teams of speech-language pathologists, social workers, psychologists and special education teachers who support students experiencing selective mutism.
Multidisciplinary school team members are encouraged to learn together- school SLPs, SSW, school psychologists, special education teachers, general education teachers and administrators.
