Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Families,
I hope you enjoy the next few weeks off. Winter Break marks the halfway point of the academic calendar, and when we come back to school, it will be 2023. Hopefully, this time of year is relaxing for your family, with lots of time to slow down and connect.
I’m incredibly proud of our Loveland City Schools community. Across our buildings, behind the scenes, staff members, families, and community groups have been working to make sure the less fortunate members of our Loveland school family have gifts and necessities this holiday season.
Every day, in ways big and small, our community joins together in ways that make Loveland a very special place. When you see the #beLOVEland hashtag on social media, it’s because we want to call out the love that is at the heart of our community.
Thank you for a fantastic first half of the school year, and here’s to a great 2023!
Go Tigers!
Mike Broadwater

Loveland Schools Town Hall Meeting
The Loveland City School District will hold a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 6 pm in the Media Center at Loveland Intermediate School. The purpose of this Town Hall is for district leaders to hear from our Loveland City Schools community about issues facing the school district, including the financial future of Loveland City Schools. The Town Hall will include Superintendent Mike Broadwater and two members of the Board of Education, but it will not be an official meeting of the Board. If you cannot attend, you can watch the live stream by following this link, but only in-person attendees can participate with questions or comments. A recording of the meeting will be available to watch for those who are interested.

Adapted PE Holiday Hoedown
Our Adapted Physical Education program at Loveland High School and Middle School held a “Holiday Hoedown” last week. Adapted Physical Education is a program that allows students with disabilities to participate in physical education classes alongside peer mentors who participate and model skills. The “Holiday Hoedown” included square dancing and other dance routines by students. After watching the performances, families also got a chance to hang out with therapy ponies and take photos with Santa Broadwater. Thank you to our Adapted PE staff and student mentors for a fantastic event!
Pass It On Food Drive Success
Loveland City School District is built upon great traditions and our Core Values of Care, Respect, and Responsibility. We are also committed to developing opportunities for our students to volunteer in the community. Students from across the district recently participated in the Pass It On Food Drive.
Because of you, we had a very successful 21st Annual Pass It On Food Drive! While partnering with the L.I.F.E Food Pantry, our food drive collected enough items to serve 250 families right here in our community. We were able to provide all items needed for the Thanksgiving meals and the holiday boxes. The food items were collected from Loveland students starting from Preschool age through our 8th graders. From collecting, sorting, organizing, counting, and walking the items to Prince of Peach Church from the LIS/LMS campus, everyone had a hand in making this food drive a success. We can’t thank you all enough for your help! We would also like to thank our Loveland Businesses that jumped in to support this cause. BF Realty, Lemons and Limes, Loveland Pediatric Dentistry, and The Gielau Family.
Thank you for your love and support to our community. Our students truly put the LOVE in Loveland.
We wish everyone a wonderful, happy, and healthy holiday season!
Until next year,
Ashley Nellis, Julie Weast, and Penny Dippold
