The EdTech Connection
Making the connection between ed and tech: 10 June 2019
Who likes badges?
If you're like me and like to collect badges and rack up points, let me share a great place to do that while learning some cool new tricks for your classroom. Microsoft's Educator Community has training courses and pathways that will let you learn new skills you can apply to your classroom even if you don't have (or use a lot of) Office 365 products! Forsyth folks, we DO have Office 365, so this is a great way to learn more about some of the tools you have at your fingertips!
You might have to be picky to find what works for you, but I think it's a great way to take part in some self-paced, self-directed learning. Even better, you can do it from home in your PJs or by the pool or beach with a cool refreshing summer beverage!

8 Weeks of Summer Blogging Challenge
My lovely friend Penny Christensen (@Pen63) has a fantastic blog called Hot Lunch Tray in which she posts great tidbits for teachers, edtech coaches, librarians, administrators...basically, she's an amazing resource no matter your role in education.
This summer, she's inspired me to go back to blogging more regularly with her #8weeksofsummer Summer Blogging Challenge. On Sunday of each week, she will post a blog topic. Write your blog that week and share it using the rules that she's outlined in the post linked just above here. Those who complete the entire challenge will be entered to win an Amazon gift card!
So I'm working on my post now and will share it later today! Who wants to join me?!
Bingo!
As you cross off squares, share them on Twitter with the hashtag #FCSBingo19 and any accompanying pics that would make it fun! I just went to the Bahamas this past weekend and definitely took a few selfies, so here's my updated board!
Here's my updated board below!
