Camp Tiger Paw
Ms. Whitlea's Class
Week 5 - Weather
Throughout the weeks of Camp, we have seen that the students are increasing their social/emotional development by playing with peers, improving their fine and gross motor skills through crafts and outdoor play, and expanding their language skills by learning new vocabulary and novel experiences.
Next week the students will learn all about transportation! We will see you then!
Hello from Ms. Whitlea (right) and Ms. Vicky (left)
Hi families!
The kiddos really enjoyed learning all about the weather this week. We discussed how there is different weather during each season, learned about precipitation, condensation, and evaporation processes from rain, and of course, they loved learning the colors of the rainbow and how rainbows are formed, (refraction- the bending of the sunlight on the moisture in the air), and when rainbows appear (after rain). We also had a meteorologist come by and talk to the kiddos all about the weather. Some fun questions you could ask the kiddos would be to list the 4 seasons of the year and the colors in the rainbow.
As always, if you have any questions please email me at whitlealoftis@ozarktigers.org.
Have a great weekend!
Ms. Whitlea
