CLASS CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS
Please send a Christmas stocking to school with your child by Monday December 11th. We will hang the stockings in our classroom to prepare for our “Stocking Stuffer Gift Exchange”. You can send in an old stocking that your child no longer needs at home, you can purchase a new stocking for a reasonable price at a nearby Dollar Tree or you can even make a stocking together. Please put your child’s name on their stocking.
Our class will celebrate the holidays by stuffing our stockings at school. We have 18 students in our class this year. If you wish, you may send in stocking stuffers for each student by Monday December 18th. Stocking stuffer ideas: pencils, erasers, small Christmas themed items, bookmarks, stickers, small toys etc.
Once all of our stockings are stuffed, we will open them during our Holiday party on Wednesday December 20th. The students are so excited and can’t wait to “un-stuff” their stockings full of goodies!! Thank you so much for all of your help and support. We can’t wait to see our stockings hung in our classroom with care :)

GT CORNER
We recently located the article below, which discusses the longest-running study of genius kids and what it takes to be highly successful. A few highlights we noted was the importance of developing cognitive abilities early as well as "nurturing precocious children" starting at a young age. It makes the work we do even more important. We hope you find value in this article:
LEAD WITH GCISD
This week, we participated in Hour of Code to recognize Computer Science Education Week. Although we code on a regular basis in ASPIRE 4, we were able to do a few special things, such as participate in a "Coding Petting Zoo" with new items we hadn't yet explored this year. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, to see Hour of Code throughout the district, please click the link below:
