Hello 5th grade parents!

After Spring Break, it will be time to start thinking about middle school! Please note this year, all parents will be responsible for entering their child’s elective information via Skyward, THERE WILL BE NO PAPER FORMS SENT HOME.

Your counselor, Mrs. Johnson, will host a virtual 5th grade parent meeting on April 8th to help you prepare for this. Please save the date if you are interested, the link will be sent in April.

You only need to attend one meeting if you need help with understanding how to access your child’s course requests and electives.

Important 5th Grade Dates:

April 8th

5th Grade Parent Meeting: Accessing SKYWARD for middle school electives (2 PM and 6 PM)

April 5- 9:

Classroom/student guidance on choosing electives, middle school information

April 12th - 19th

5th grade Course Requests will open in Family Access/Student Access. You can review your child’s course requests and select middle school electives.

April 19- 23rd

Your counselor will be checking and updating any desired changes.

All changes are due and window will be closed on April 23rd.

13 - 4th grade STAAR Writing - Online Test (3rd grade will be asynchronous, students will stay home and work on activities)
