Advanced Excel Training
You already know Excel and have been working with it for years. Maybe other Excel users turn to you for assistance, but with all the new features in Excel, your skills have not been kept to pace. To regain edge, you don’t need introduction, but you need a fast-paced overview. This class will bring you up to speed on the latest features across Excel. If you have a good foundation in Excel and want to be a Power User, this class is for you!
If you are new to Excel, we recommend taking the Excel for Beginner users as it will cover all the basics for getting started in Excel and will allow you to gain exposure before participating in this fast-paced advanced course.
Session topics include: Charts and formatting tables, common formulas, pivot tables, functions, hyperlinking, V-Lookup, conditional formatting, data validation, etc.

Advanced Word Training
This training is intended for non-instructional staff who want to use advanced capabilities in Word 2016, including image manipulation, collaboration and revision, cross-referencing and linking, document security, forms, mail merge, and publishing. Session topics include: Mail merge, publishing, track changes, graphics, collaboration, etc. {STIPEND PAID - except 12 month employees}

Beginner Word Training
This training is intended for non-instructional staff members who want to learn basic Word 2016 skills, such as creating, editing, and formatting documents, inserting simple tables and creating lists; and employing a variety of techniques for improving the appearance and accuracy of the document contents. Session topics include: formatting text and paragraphs, page appearance, publishing documents, tables and textboxes, etc. Stipend paid except for 12 month employees.

Beginner Excel Training
This training is intended for non-instructional staff whose job responsibilities include creating, inputting and printing basic spreadsheets in Excel. Users should have basic Windows, keyboarding and mouse skills. Session topics include: Workbooks, tabs, cell ranges, values, saving, closing, formatting worksheets, merge, basic formulas, columns, find and replace functions, sort and filter options, creating tables, etc. Stipend paid except for 12 month employees

This is a self-paced course designed for non-instructional staff to provide exceptional customer service within SLPS. This online module is offered via Canvas.

Digital Storytelling with SWAY
Getting Started: Digital Storytelling on ANY device with Sway. This session is specifically designed for school secretaries to better understand the Microsoft application, Sway. Sway is a digital storytelling application free to all SLPS employees that can be accessed from any device. Create flawless, easy to read newsletters for your staff and parents using Sway.
