Last TWO WEEKS :)

Boxes of Hope

This project will be DUE on Monday, December 17th. I will be emailing the PDF of this assignment today. Attached to that will be a rubric for grading to help you understand how your child will be assessed.
This project has been one that has produced so many blessings. Past students will tell me that they still have their hope boxes and look at them from time to time. I have asked the children to prepare their box as one they would also be happy receiving from a classmate.

CCE Snowman Days of Giving!!

Snowman Days of Giving are this week, December 10-14. Each day the students may choose to bring in an item to help those in need this holiday season.
  • Mon. Dec. 10 – mittens and gloves
  • Tues. Dec. 11 – toys and books
  • Wed. Dec. 12 – warm cozy socks
  • Thurs. Dec. 13 – thermal wear (coats and sweaters)
  • Fri. Dec. 14 – canned food

Participation is strictly voluntary and will be connected to service learning at the campus level.

MATH FACTS

I wanted to remind you of the importance of the children knowing their math facts. We have learned many ways to "think" about how to solve problems. My desire is to continue to grow their ability to solve problems by UNDERSTANDING what they mean FIRST. As we have moved from multiplication to division and soon into fractions, it is imperative that the children know their basic math facts. This will be a huge benefit for them as they learn how to understand fractions, but also how to simplify and find equivalent fractions.
