Dear Parents / Carers,

What a joy this week has been! It has been lovely to have a range of sports going on around school with PE lessons outside as well as visiting coaches for Cricket in Year 6 (Neptune) and Beanbag rounders in Mars.

We have also restarted some bubble specific after school clubs: Children in Jupiter enjoyed Gardening Club after school on Wednesday whilst Neptune had multisports and Uranus did Forest School Club. On Thursday Saturn had multisports after school.

Slowly things are starting to get back to normal and we are planning what we can for the end of the school year but like everyone else are waiting to hear the update from the government.

Plans are well underway for the new school year too and I will share these with you once I am in a position to do so. Our school continues to grow and thrive and a visit this week from our School Improvement Adviser was very positive in terms of the improvements we continue to make and the progress of our pupils, in particular the teaching of reading.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Karen Williams

National School Sports Week

National School Sport Week is back! This year the theme is Together Again to celebrate the lifting of restrictions and a return to some kind of normality after an extremely difficult year.

Taking place from 19-25 June, the week will give families, communities, schools and sports clubs the opportunity to get active and put on some events that everyone can take part in. YST have created some fantastic easy to follow resources, full of ideas for activities that you can do to bring the people around you closer together.

We will be taking part in activities in our bubbles but you can join in at home too! Registering couldn’t be simpler, just go to the National School Sport Week section of the website and click on the link to register as a parent. Simply fill in your details and you're ready to get active!
