What a treat it is to experience winter in California! There is so much to do and see right in our back yards! Do you venture to the mountains to enjoy the snow after a good snowstorm? Do you plan to include the winter weather in your studies this season? How fortunate we are to have the beach and mountains so easily accessed for our exploration and enjoyment!

One of my favorite places to go in the fall/winter is the beach! There is never a better time for a tide pool field trip than during the colder months. The beaches are clear of crowds, and you will most likely have the shore and tide pools open to yourselves to explore and learn together. Take a leap and head out to one of the many gorgeous, local natural field trip spots. You will not regret it!

I Don’t Know How to Do History Day!

We can help! We have workshops once a month in the Zoom Room to check in with your student and see how they are doing. We can offer assistance and ideas to help your student show their best work. These workshops are not mandatory to participate in History Day but will be an excellent support for students.

How Can My Student Participate?

Please complete the Interest Survey if your student wants to participate. We will add you to our mailing list for workshops and information. We will send out the registration forms via this mailing list, as well. Registration Forms are due Wednesday, January 8, 2020.

2. Press the arrow and it will offer the option of viewing “My Account.”

3. Click on "My Account" and it will list all of the field trips you have signed up for. This includes all the links to the pages where you signed up, so you can find the lead teacher's name, email address, and phone number!

Note: Main Program students who start with Inspire on/before November 30, 2019 may opt-out of the OSP and receive an additional $400 in Instructional Funds in lieu of the Online Subscription Package.

The $400 opt-out funds will be added to student's accounts in the Enrichment Ordering System (EOS) on February 1, 2020 for students who opt-out. Students must submit their opt-out preference in order to receive the $400 in additional funds on February 1st.

Students enrolled in a package offering with an approved vendor are not eligible to receive the opt-out funds if they decide to opt-out. Please refer to the Vendor Package page for more information.

Students who enroll late and start with Inspire on/after December 1, 2019 are not eligible to receive the opt-out funds if they decide to opt-out.
