Principal's Notes
There have been a lot of positive things happening around the Adrian Elementary School as of late. The students were extremely excited at the overwhelming support parents, grandparents, and other family members and friends showed them by showing up and eating lunch with them last week. Many students had someone eating with them on multiple days, and experience that the students looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed.
The Fall Festival was a huge success, as there was another strong showing of support by the many people that attended. The students enjoyed the student council scavenger hunt, the trunk-or-treat hosted by numerous local businesses and entities, and the wide variety of other activities that occurred throughout the event. A huge thank you goes out to all that were involved in the planning and preparation that made the event a huge success.
Remember, e-learning folders (gold) will be coming home soon. Please keep them in the back packs for when they are needed. Have a great week!

Coming soon: Scholastic Book Fair - November 11-14th
A Blizzard of books is coming your way—open a book and start reading today.
Reading increases knowledge and vocabulary, lowers stress, and supports your child’s emotional growth. But perhaps the best benefit is the lasting bond you create with your child when you read with them. Visit the Book Fair with your child to discover new books together!

Marching Band Indoor Show
5th grade band parents,
The 5th grade band students will play as part of the Marching Band Indoor Show on Monday, October 28th. The concert will begin at 7:00 pm in the high school gym and all students should stay for the entire performance. Students should wear dress clothes for the performance (khakis, dress pants, dresses, etc.). Please avoid jeans, tennis shoes, t-shirts, and sweatshirts. Students should report to the high school choir room at 6:40 with their books and instruments.
I hope to see you all at our first performance! Your students are working hard to learn their instruments and are excited to share their progress with you. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
Mrs. Vanessa VanderWal
Adrian Band Director

Drop-off Reminder
Just a reminder: for safety reasons, we ask that if you are going to get out of your vehicle you park in the parking lot and not park in the drop-off zone. We would like to keep the stationary time for the vehicles in the drop-off zone minimal to enable the flow of traffic to continue. When vehicles are parked in the drop-off zone for an extended period of time (parent gets out of vehicle) and cars go around others, the safety of our students is jeopardized. The safety of your children is a top priority of ours, and taking small measures as such, help to promote a safe environment. Thank you!
