Winter Extravaganza 2019
Donations/Sponsorships – Now accepting donations and sponsorships for Winter Extravaganza 2019. If you are unsure what to donate, please see the flyer in today’s carrier for some suggestions. If you or someone you know is a business owner and would be interested in being a sponsor for Winter Extravaganza 2019, please see the opportunities available in today’s carrier.
BASKET DONATIONS/EXPENSE DONATIONS – In the next couple of weeks you will notice at all three parishes there will be mason jars with different items that can be donated to create baskets and also several options to cover certain expenses. Please feel free to grab as many of these sticks from the jar and return the sticks with the donated items to the school office by Friday, January 25th.
BOOZE DONATIONS NEEDED – We will be having a Booze Wagon Raffle this year at Winter Extravaganza. We are looking for donations of any type of liquor to fill a wagon (or two). Please turn these donations into the school office now through February 8th.
CHOCOLATE BAR RAFFLE – DONOR NEEDED – Every year we have a Seroogy’s chocolate bar raffle at Winter Extravaganza and this year is no different. For those not familiar, you purchase a Seroogy’s chocolate bar for $5 and there is a number on the bottom of each bar. The number is associated with a “prize” – some big, some small. This is a VERY popular raffle. The prizes are all donated items and for the last several years we also had a donor for the chocolate bars but we do not have one so far this year. The cost for the chocolate bars is $288.00. If you are interested in donating, please contact Molly Oehldrich at molly.oehldrich@gmail.com or call/text (920) 980-7385. Thank you!
ALUMNI – Calling all Alumni to volunteer on the night of Winter Extravaganza. If you are interested, please email Molly Oehldrich at molly.oehldrich@gmail.com by Friday, January 25th.

School Choice Update for 2019-2020
During the 2019-2020 school year, Christ Child Academy will be participating in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP), which will allow eligible students—those entering 4K, Kindergarten and first grade or transferring into our school in grades 2-8—to attend our school tuition-free through state aid payments. What a beautiful way to open our doors to include families within our community to join us in spreading the loving word of God.
Below is the full School Choice announcement. Brenda Binversie is our School Choice Coordinator and will assist the application process. Please contact her at ccaschoolchoice@gmail.com. The application dates run from February 1 through April 20. For more information, go to https://dpi.wi.gov/sms/choice-programs/student-applications
School Mass & Field Trip Attire
Students are to wear their CCA polo shirts with the logo along with dress or Khaki pants or a skirt for the girls for all Mass days and on all field trips, unless otherwise denoted. Polo shirts are to be tucked in for both boys and girls for Mass. Any additional items such as sweaters or vests must have the CCA logo and be worn over the polo shirt. These additional items are available on the Land's End website. Yoga pants are not to be worn to Mass except under a skirt and in a solid color. Students volunteering at the St. Peter Claver Food Pantry are to wear Mass attire as this is considered an off-site field trip.
2018 Annual Fund Appeal
This year, we have added a new feature for your convenience. We have partnered with GoFundMe to accept online donations for our Annual Fund Appeal.
Safeguarding All God's Family
If parents or grandparents plan to participate in field trips, work in the lunchroom, coach, or help out at school, you must attend a Safeguarding All God’s Family training through the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. You must register on-line at www.archmil.org and indicate you are associated with Christ Child Academy. If you have not previously been trained, now is a great time to attend a session.
Box Tops for Education
CCA can earn money from clipping Box Tops found on various products. When you buy items, simply clip the Box Top and bring it to CCA. The Box Tops are submitted, and our school receives a check which is used towards our activity fund. It’s another easy way for you to help the school by purchasing the products you already use! Enlist your family, friends and neighbors to collect the Box Tops, too.
Kwik Trip Milk Moola
CCA will receive 5¢ (five cents) for each cap or milk bag top they redeem from Nature’s Touch® products. The program will only accept specially marked caps and bag tops that feature the Milk Moola symbol. Thank you to Paula Hilbert, who has been overseeing this program for many years!
