MS STUDENTS VISIT WASHINGTON, D.C.!
During the Spring Recess thirty-six 8th grade students travelled to Washington D.C. with the World Strides Discover Now program. The students and 3 chaperones visited important historical sites that included Arlington National Cemetery, Mount Vernon, Ford’s Theatre, Gettysburg, and many awe-inspiring memorials and monuments.
Participants were able to experience history first hand as they explored the amazing exhibits at the Smithsonian Museums and walk the hallways of the Capitol and Library of Congress. This trip was an unforgettable learning experience which allowed both the students and the teachers that accompanied them to participate in an inspirational learning adventure that took them beyond the classroom walls.
