Connotation

Connotation is the implied emotional meaning of a word.
Its correct pronunciation is:
("conna TAY sh'n")
Some synonyms of the term connotation are meaning overtone, significance, undertone.
One connotation example that I found was:"slim, skinny, slender, thin". This implies that someone is too thin.
The example that I made about connotation is "overweight, chubby, stout, heavy". This implies that someone is too fat.
This is a noun. To make it a verb, the ending would change to connotating.
