Betty's are successful because they are only based in a small amount of places in Yorkshire, this makes them more special as they are limited. The business is sophisticated and the boss can keep control of all members involved as there isn't loads of them to keep track of, this means it easier to make sure the people hired all treat there job correctly with the right attitude. The business have been going for nearly 100 years and are well known, meaning they have kept up success the same way throughout (based in Yorkshire). The business started in 1919 when Frederick Belmont arrived in Yorkshire with his wife and set up the first Betty's tea room in Harrogate, it is a thriving family business that is respected and seen as posh and sophisticated, meaning people are happy to pay the high prices making the business more successful.
