Tigers by Ryan O Malley
The tiger is the largest living cat species It is most recognisable for its dark vertical stripes on orange fur with a white underside. It primarily preys deer and wild boar. It is territorial and generally a solitary but social predator. It requires large contiguous areas of habitat to support its requirements for prey and rearing of its offspring. Tiger cubs stay with their mother for about two years and then become independent, leaving their mother's home range to establish their own.
Enrichment
3rd Grade
3rd graders are learning about the Amazon River in Enrichment. They learned that the houses along the river are built on stilts and able to withstand weight and wind. They built structures out of paper index cards that did just that. Some students made structures that held 5 or more heavy books. Great job engineering!!!
2nd Grade
2nd graders are learning that we should be doing more to help protect sea turtles on their journey from their nests on the beach to the ocean. They move slowly and can get eaten by predators or they can lose their way and end up on the road. Only 1 in 1000 sea turtles survives to adulthood. These sea turtle protection designs are an excellent way to get started helping to protect these endangered, adorable creatures!!! Great designing!!!
