It's been a fabulous year!
Literacy Memories
You have certainly made me smile in 2019.
What a wonderful bunch of students you all are. I have loved every minute of this year. We have created many wonderful memories together and I hope that you all look back on 2019 with great fondness and recall all the good times we shared. I know I will. Good luck to each and every one of you in Year 5. You will all be amazing!
I wish all of you the happiest of holidays. Enjoy the treasured time spent with loved ones. Take time to relax and recharge and create wonderful memories with those you love.
Book Week Character Parade
We love Reading - especially in our pyjamas!
Literacy Day fun with Miss Berry
Magnificent Mathematicians!
We absolutely love getting "sweaty brains" during Number Talks. Sharing our ideas and how we solve different problems and equations with each other is always fun. We certainly love our Number Talks.
Good on you Juli.
Games are a great way to learn new skills.
Mare is very proud of herself.
We loved having our parents visit our classroom.
During Education Week our classroom was open for parents to come and spend some time viewing all the great things we have been doing. It is always nice to welcome visitors into our classroom, but even better when those visitors are our mums and dads!
Mare and her mum.
JaKayla and het mum.
Zoran loved his dad visiting.
Ali and his mum.
Mysha, her mum and her younger brother.
4S busy at work.
Sensational Science Week Projects.
The theme for Science week this year was Space. Students could choose to submit an artwork, a model or scientific research. Here are the entries that students from 4S submitted. I think they are wonderful.
We love Sport.
We have participated in lots of different kinds of activities this semester. We had our annual sports carnival, a cricket gala day and participated in a variety of sporting activities every Friday afternoon. The smiles on our faces tell you all how much we love our sport!
Multicultural Day.
This year we got to visit the other Year 4 classes to learn about other cultures. We learnt how to make Ojo de Dios from Mexico, play Bingo in Italian and made a flower lei and handmade from Hawaii. We were also able to come dressed in our traditional cultural clothing. it really was a fun day.
We are all wonderful artists.
We always look forward to getting creative each work and making and appreciating a variety of art. Below are just a few samples of some of the work we created. It's always fun experimenting with different materials and objects to create our masterpieces.
Balloons are great for creating backgrounds.
Who needs a paintbrush to create a masterpiece?
Viola!
Our amazing Art Gallery work.
Mysha won a competition with this card she created. We think its fabulous.
Mare was also lucky to have her artwork recreated on the walls of the children's ward at Fairfield Hospital.
We loved working together to create this winning door design.
I would like to finish 2019 with a quote I find truly inspiring -
'All our dreams can come true, if we just have the courage to pursue them." Walt Disney
