Hello EBC Family!

I hope that you’re finding our sermon series through the parables of Luke both encouraging and challenging. I love how direct Jesus is in these stories. Will we depend on Him or not? Will we be compassionate like Him or not? Will we hold on to His Word or not? Will we love Him much or love Him little? Jesus does not leave any middle ground for us to loiter. My prayer is that each week the call will be clear and you will be confronted with a choice to be faithful to Jesus. That’s why Jesus told these parables.

I want to say a big thank you to our Hospitality Team for planning, designing, and ordering new signage for our building. They look great! Thank you to our Building and Grounds Committee for hanging the signs. We are also grateful for the anonymous church family member who had a vision for new signs and paid for them. In last week’s news article, I forgot to mention one of our Daycare Committee members - Chelsea Simpson. She has done much legwork to help our Committee make good decisions. We’re grateful for her.

This Sunday will be our Dessert Auction to provide funds for Children’s Camp and Children’s Summer Activities. We will eat lunch together directly after the worship service followed by the auction. This is always a fun time of fellowship. I hope you’ll be able to join us.
