The Final Soultion

Gas Vans
Gas vans were invented by the Soviet Union in 1936 by a man named Isay Berg, the head administrative and economic department of the NKVD of Moscow. During trips to Russia in 1941, Heinrich Himmler learned the psychological impact of shooting women and children on the Einsatzguppen. Because of this, he commissioned Arthur Nebe to explore ways of killing that were less stressful for the task forces. Nebe's experiments eventually led to the utilization of the gas van.
Old Abandoned Gas Van
This is a picture of an old abandoned gas van that was used in the killing of hundreds of jews. You can see the simple design of a flatbed truck with a wooden stable build in the back. It was a cheap way of killing off large groups of people in short amounts of time.
Jews Being Loaded Onto Gas Van
This picture shows the massive amount of people that were transported to camps and later executed by gas vans. These people were dehumanized and treated worse than animals. They were crammed into topless trucks in the freezing cold and transported to their deaths.
