Thank you to everyone who came to Pattys & Buns last Thursday! It was a fun night for our school and Montclair community. The kids enjoyed seeing their teachers (shout out to Ms. Forbes & Mr. Thompson, who kept us smiling in line) and their friends on a tasty weeknight out. Pattys & Buns gave us 15% back from our purchases that night, so we raised $136.88. Thank you!
Thursday, April 26 at Mr. Green Bubble: Stop in for a bubble tea after school or treat after dinner. Mention Thornhill when you make a purchase between 3-9 p.m. and tell the cashier you are there for Thornhill - 15 percent comes back to our school
Mr. Green Bubble: 4299 Piedmont Ave, Suite D, Oakland.
Monday, May 7 at Fentons: Start the week with a decadent dessert to keep your young reader going. To be credited for this fundraiser, you must bring a paper flyer (check your inbox and your child's backpack the week before) - eligible from 6-9 p.m., dine in only -- and 15% comes back to our school. This Dine Out is the most popular one of the year!
Fenton's Creamery: 4226 Piedmont Ave, Oakland.
Wednesday, May 16 at Round Table: Dine in or take out for lunch or dinner between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. and tell the cashier you are there for Thornhill - 15% comes back to our school.

Pennies For Patients Fundraiser...
Our annual Pennies for Patients penny drive to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is still in full swing!
Each classroom will have a box for collecting donations. Please bring in pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, half-dollars, dollar coins, and bills of all sizes…Last year, we donated over $900. Let’s get to $1,000 this year!! We’ll run the donation drive through April and into mid-May.
A few Pennies for Patients facts:
- Thornhill is one of hundreds of schools across the nation participating in this donation program.
- Leukemia is a blood disease. It affects the body's production of healthy blood cells.
- Money raised will go towards cancer research, especially for children with leukemia and blood cancer.
- Approximately 17,692 children of all ages in the SF Bay Area are affected by different forms of blood cancer, including leukemia.
- We can help! Every cent counts! Only 7 cents a day can help a patient with his or her doctor visits.

The Traffic Safety Team is looking for volunteers!
We all know that morning traffic along Thornhill can get a little crazy. The traffic safety team is looking for volunteers to help with the quick-drop lane in front of the school in the mornings from 8:15 - 8:45.
Can you commit to one morning a week? Two mornings a month? On an as-needed basis? We'll take all the help we can get to keep our Thunderbirds safe! (This is a great job for TK and K parents since you're already at school early.)
Drop us an email at quickdrop@thornhillschool.org or just come by in the morning to see how it works.
Thanks from the traffic safety team!
