Michael R. Null Middle School
Principal Notes
What a great week to be a STALLION!
All students now have IDs and AVID Binders. Please help us keep the binders clean and IDs around their neck. It helps us move things along while we implement our new security measures.
Last week's volleyball games were awesome! I enjoyed watching our kiddos compete. If you missed the volleyball games last week, you can come and catch our first football games on Monday and we have more volleyball games later in the week.
PS... We have a SPTO (Stallion Parent Teacher Organization) meeting on 9-25-2018 from 5-6 PM. Please come out and fellowship and brainstorm!
See you around the campus...
Remember, we are the Best school with the Best students and the Best faculty and staff. Good, Better, Best!!! Never let it rest, until your good gets better and your better gets best!
Sincerely,
Leroy Bradley II

Another GREAT week in the Elective Department!
Band
Beginner Band: Students will begin using their instruments in class on Monday, September 10. Students who have not ordered their instruments and supplies need to care take of their needs as soon as possible to avoid lowered grades in band class. More information is available on www.nullband.com. **Remember--if you would rather pay cash for an instrument rather than rent-to-own, it is ALWAYS better to spend the money on a good, used instrument that is one of our recommended brands rather than spending the same amount on a new, but low quality instrument.
Honor/Symphonic/Concert Bands: Students need to have ALL supplies for band class. They will be graded on supplies soon.
Flutes: cleaning rod and cleaning cloth
Oboe/Bassoon: swab and 2 good reeds, reed case
Clarinet/Saxophone: 4 good reeds, reed case, swab, mouthpiece brush
Trombones: tuning slide grease, slide lubricant, mouthpiece brush
All other brass: valve oil, tuning slide grease, mouthpiece brush
Percussion: SD1 General or Ted Atkatz drumsticks
Reeds, oil, and grease can be purchased from the band directors for $2.00 (exception: oboe and bassoon reeds are $10). Directors can help you if you need to order something else.
Cookie dough fundraiser began on 9/5. Students need to be actively working to collect the money from everyone who placed an order. All money is due 9/19. Late orders will NOT be accepted.
CAP - Civil Air Patrol
Students will begin receiving their uniforms next week! We will have a parent meeting after school to discuss proper care and wear of the uniform. This will also give parents a chance to speak to the two CAP teachers and ask questions.
Come out and support the Volleyball and Football games! Civil Air Patrol has a concession stand at both games. This is our major fundraiser for the year and the money we raise goes directly to support additional supplies and activities for your students.
We are going flying next month! Students will receive a permission slip very soon. Please remember that students must have turned in a completed CAP Form (4-page), wear the CAP uniform, and returned a signed permission slip to go flying. Additional information will be sent out as we get closer to the activity.

¡Hola!
During the first two weeks of school the kids learned so much. They already know how to greet people at different times of the day, introduce themselves to others and respond to classroom directions. This week we will begin using numbers, tell time and identify parts of the body.

This week the theater department is working on pantomime scenes in class with partners after two weeks of vocabulary activities. We also are hard at work fundraising to fund our original one act play: Dallas Gumshoe & the Invisible Monsters, which will premier this winter at Null.
