A NEW ROLE FOR THE DISTRICT
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
A very warm welcome to Rachel Farreny who begins work today as our new BCBA. Rachel comes to us from the Philadelphia School System with a wide variety of experience in her role. She is here to help solve behavior-related issues. Rachel will help LTSD in a number of ways, such as by:
- Meeting with families, teachers and others to discuss behavior problems that need to be addressed
- Observing behavior in environments
- Collecting data related to the frequency, duration and rate of concerning behaviors
- Generating graphs to track changes
- Analyzing information to determine appropriate interventions
- Applying and demonstrating techniques to achieve objectives
- Adjusting interventions as necessary
