Christmas Carol Showcase!

In lieu of a children's Christmas play this year, the Children's ministry will sing Christmas carols on December 18 for our congregation. This special Christmas choir events will be led by Priscilla Wiggins and Tong Utakrit.

We will be singing Jingle Bells, Away in a Manger and We wish you a Merry Christmas. Please have your child practice these songs at home as well as come to practice during Children's church. (Links to song videos will be sent out through Facebook)

Please mark your calendars for the following dates:

December 11: All children who would like to participate (walking to 5th grade) will join Children's church for song practice.

December 18: Children's Ministry Christmas Carol showcase during Sunday morning service.

On December 18, if your child is singing with us on stage, please have them in Christmas attire and ready to meet in the FLC at 10:15 am. We will sing on stage prior to communion and the offering. All the children will be released back to their parents after signing three Christmas carols. Use the videos below to help your child practice.

What is a Christmas Eve Box?

Christmas Eve boxes have been created to give families activities they can complete together while we prepare to celebrate Jesus' birth! Items that are included are a Christmas eve devotional, popcorn, hot chocolate, crafts, and a story to read to prepare our minds for Christmas Day! (Use the link above to sign up for a box)

Twenty Christmas eve boxes have been created. Take a moment and sign your family up for one box per family. I will do my best to be sure you have materials for each child in your box. Pick up for boxes will be between Sunday, December 18 and Wednesday, December 21 here at KWCOC. If you are not able to pick up between those dates, I ask you to allow another family to be blessed with a box. Thank you!

Elders and Elves video

Elders and Elves: What a Great day!

Thank you so much to our Elders, Elder wives and all the volunteers for making our event such a success! The kids had a wonderful time playing games, making some holiday memories and learning more about the story of Jesus! Be sure to ask them to use their puppets to retell the story!

Grab a Lasagna today!

Wow! What a wonderful night we had with the youth group and the ladies bible class making lasagnas! We were able to make 26 lasagnas of varying sizes! Thank you to all that supported this event by donating food and helping the night of by making the lasagnas with the children.

What now?

These lasagnas were placed in the freezer (in the FLC) with cooking instructions attached. You may choose to pick up a lasagna and deliver it to someone who you feel could use a reprieve from cooking a meal.

Some ideas for these lasagnas are:

* A meal for you to share with a neighbor

* Take a meal to a family you miss seeing at church

* Deliver a meal to a new family that has placed membership recently

* Provide a meal for someone who is having a difficult time

*Enjoy a meal with someone who you want to connect or reconnect with

There are so many ways that we can share God's love through this outreach. Please feel free to call Jeanese at 281-358-3865 so you can pick up a lasagna to deliver and enjoy with someone.
