Egypt geo-ecological statistics

The United States is 8,825,225 sq km more than Egypt, so therefore we have more resources and more room to grow crops. This is one of the reasons why Egypt isn't able to grow as much food and has a lower GDP than America.
Egypt and America have a very different Geography and economy as well as different eating patterns.
This graph illustrates the amount of meat, in pounds, the US and Egypt consume per person each year. Meat is a signifigant part of a persons diet because of the amount of protein it contains.
GDP per capita is the total income of a country divides by the number of people living there. The GDP per capita is significgant to food because Egypt has a low GDP so they wouldn't be able to import as many diffrent foods as the US can with a high GDP.
Arable land is land that is fertile so that crops can be grown on it. The amount of arable land in a country helps determine the crops and food that are capable of growing, which is directly linked with the types of food people eat.
These three graphs are signifigant because they show how much of a difference there is between the US and Egypt which shows how the food is also different. In Egypt less people have money for more expensive food Items like meat, so as a result people there eat more grains and produce. Also, In Egypt there is a lack of arable land, so that could be one of the reasons why their GDP is signifigantly lower than the USAs'. It can also be one of the main reasons that is harder to get ahold of produce there than in the US.
THe percentage of children under 5 years old that are underweight shows a huge difference between Egypt and the US. BEcause of our higher GDP more Americans are able to afford food, therefore more children are able to be fed.
