When is slang appropriate for use?

Slang is appropriate for use when you are hanging with your friends or talking to someone who knows about the slang words you are talking about.

"I" message and "You" message

"I" message- take ownership of your own feelings.

"I" message example-"when you tell so-called funny stories about me to my professional friends, I am so embarrassed.


'You' message- places blame on other people.


"You" message example- "you embarrass me when you tell your so-called funny stories about me to my professional friends."
