If you have a tailgate or beach tent that we can borrow to cover the refreshment stand, please let me know or sign up on the genius. We would also greatly appreciate borrowing a couple of 5-gallon coolers for dispensing water and lemonade. We will have your tent and coolers back to you at the end of the day. Any questions, email Alexis at: alexis.henry25@gmail.com

School Supply Kits for 2019-20 ON SALE NOW!
Be on the lookout for an informational flyer soon in your child's Friday Folder! Track 3 will receive a flyer when tracked back in.
Want to avoid the hassle of shopping for school supplies? Order a pre-assembled kit through SchooToolBox for your child's grade level. Backpacks, lunchboxes, and other supplies are available through SchoolToolBox as well. ALL KITS and other merchandise will be shipped to your home address rather than to TCE as in past years.
To get started:
- · Visit https://www.schooltoolbox.com/stbDirect/index.php?r=site/index .
- · Click on "Pre-Built Boxes" under the "Shop Now" tab on left hand side of screen
- · Enter Turner Creek Elementary when it asks for your child's school to see the list of school kits for each grade level
Please note: Pricing of Kits DOES NOT include a magazine subscription or agenda if applicable. These items will still need to be purchased through the PTA at Meet the Teacher or during first week of school for an additional cost. There is also no option available for incoming Kindergarten students as their lists are teacher specific.
Spotlight on the PTA -- Open Positions
As we prepare for the next school year, there are available opportunities to get involved in the PTA! It’s a great experience and a wonderful way to become involved in your child’s school and meet other parents. It takes many volunteers to run some of the programs and events the PTA offers. Whether you have 30 minutes, 1 hour or 10 or more to give, we can help find a place that works best for you based on your needs and schedule! We even have needs that you can fulfill exclusively from home. We appreciate any amount of time you are able to volunteer. Thank you for considering these opportunities.
Below are a few of the committee openings we have. Please contact Jackie Taylor at (jmtaylor08@gmail.com) or Stephanie Teixeira-Poit (stephteixeira@gmail.com) if you are interested or for more information.
Health and Safety Chair: For field trips, teachers are required to bring a bag containing health and safety items (e.g., bandaids). This Chair is responsible for coordinating with the school nurse to ensure that the bags are fully stocked with approved health and safety items. Please let us know if you would be interested in serving as Chair, and we will send more information on the specific duties.
School Supply Kits Chair: Each year, we work with a company to allow parents to order school supply kits. The Chair is responsible for working with administration to obtain the lists of needed school supply kits and working with the company to set up the school supply kit program for the year. The school supply kits are mailed by the company directly to parents. Please let us know if you would be interested in serving as Chair, and we will send more information on the specific duties.
Reflections Co-Chair: Our current Reflections Chair is seeking a co-chair to help collect and submit student entries for this year's program. Reflections provides an opportunity where students can create and submit original works in areas such as visual arts, music compositions, dance choreography, film and literature.
Frogapalooza Spring Event: We have several opportunities to help with planning Frogapalooza, TCE's Spring event. There are positions that range from serving as the main coordinator to sending out letters and emails for donations for the Raffle and Silent Auction. Frogapalooza works best when we have many volunteers working together to plan specific areas of the event. Please let us know if you would be interested in helping plan any aspect and we will send more information on the specific duties and needs for the remaining openings.
Anyone who would like to be considered by our nominating committee for a position on our PTA board, please pick up an application in the office and return it by May 10th. After May 10th, candidates will be notified of results and our Nominating Committee will ask current PTA members to place their vote to accept the nominated board. PTA members are invited to vote for our upcoming board at the next General PTA Meeting on Thursday, May 16th 15 minutes prior to the start of the chorus musical at TCE. More details will be announced soon. Thank you for your help supporting TCE PTA! Please direct any nomination questions to: Jackie Taylor at (jmtaylor08@gmail.com) or Stephanie Teixeira-Poit (stephteixeira@gmail.com)

Box Tops and Tyson A+ Labels
Help Us Raise Money for TCE!
Great job Turner Creek! We earned $220 with the March submission. This brings our annual earnings to $784!! The next Box Tops submission date is November 1, 2019. Please make sure they have valid dates (dated 11/1/2019 and beyond). If the Box Top is labeled between 3/1/2019-10/30/2019, we have to throw them away! The Box Tops collection bin is in the TCE lobby across from the main office.
Clipping Box Tops is an easy way for you to help our school buy what it needs. Box Tops are each worth 10¢ and they quickly add up to real cash for our school. Here is a link showing participating Box Tops products.
Clip Tyson Project A+ labels from participating Tyson® product packages and send them to school with your child. We’ll collect the labels and send them to Tyson Foods, and Tyson Foods will send our school a check. Each label is worth 24¢!
Please drop your Tyson Project A+ labels in the Box Tops collection bin in the TCE lobby. Here is a link for a list of participating products.
