LIFT Weekly Update

All about the Student Ministries at First Baptist Covington

Hey, everybody!

I know this is a busy time of year for everyone, and I really appreciate all of your commitment to our ministry! It is a great time to be a part of our ministry here, and we have a lot going on!

We do have PRAYER BREAKFAST tomorrow 7 or 8am...despite the fact that all my sweet volunteer cooks are at the beach on vacation! We'll get together anyway and enjoy some Chic-fil-A for a change! Transportation is provided for Eastside, Theme School, Indian Creek, Cousins, Peachtree, and homeschoolers.

LIFT is going to be great this week as we dive even deeper into our new series The End of the Beginning. In this series, we are looking at the last 7 days of Jesus' life on earth in detail. Check out last week's message below, along with follow-up questions! Also this week, sign-ups open up for our Middle School Mystery Retreat Nov. 7-9, and students get a chance to vote between our 2 options for Summer Camp 2014!

We've got 2 great options for camp this year, and I'd love to know your opinion. Option 1 is Crossings Camp, June 1-5, which would be a phenomenal classic camp experience with lots of opportunities for discipleship and spiritual growth. Option 2 is Student Life @ Daytona, July 13-15, which would be similar to last year with top-notch worship and Bible Study at the beach. Both are fantastic options, and neither will disappoint! Cast your vote!

This Sunday Night at LifeLine, we'll begin our World Religions study! For that series, we'll study a religion one week and take a field trip to get some hands-on experience with it the next!

The LIFT Supper Schedule is below, and our first one for the year is next week. Many of you signed up at our Parent Meeting. Let me know if you'd like to be added to an open spot!

Remember, Youth Choir is back! Sundays at 5pm in the Choir Room. Plus, we've got really great Discipleship Classes for adults at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall Building.
