PCB~ What is it?

PCB's is a non-point pollution made up of a group of harmful chemicals that are man-made. They're normally a 'oily liquid or solid' from it's job as coolants in transformers.

It's also used or found in fluorescent lights, microscope oil, and animal fats if the animal was exposed to PCB.

Where is it?

PCB's are now banned in the U.S, but that doesn't mean it's not there! It can be found in old transformers and other places where it was already contaminated- such as old landfills, for example. Most of the time, it enters the environment because it's not contained properly and can be released. Though, the most known polluted sight is the Hudson River!
